Ingredients

- 1–2 inch piece fresh ginger root
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and thinly slice the fresh ginger root.
- Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Add the ginger slices to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a cup.
- Add honey or lemon if desired, stir, and serve warm.
Notes
For stronger ginger tea benefits, use more ginger or simmer longer. Drink 1–3 cups per day for best results. Ginger tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
